R&R and Information |
Canyon Lakeview Resort is a lakefront property located on over seven acres directly on the water, with boat ramp access right through the property. The Resort includes several acres of natural terrain inhabited by wildlife, easy access to the water’s edge at the Swim Cove, and The Pointe, Canyon Lake’s newest outdoor lakeside area for special events, such as weddings or for casual gatherings such as stargazing. Feeding deer is one of our guests’ favorite pastimes. Boulder pits offer unique gathering places for campfire fun overlooking the water. And, we provide complimentary deer food and fire wood. Canyon Lake is known as the Water Recreation Capital of Texas! It’s no wonder why. Canyon Lake offers 80 miles of shoreline around pristine clear blue waters for fun year-round. And, the Guadalupe River’s most popular stretch is less than 15 minutes away and welcomes over 1.2 million visitors each year. Canyon Lakeview Resort is situation right on Canyon Lake, in the southwest quadrant. The lake offers six public parks. Hiking trails within are open year-round and free of charge. Horseback riding along Old Hancock Trail, bicycling the trail in Canyon Park, or walking across Canyon Dam allow you to enjoy the lake up close. There are over 21 boat ramps on the lake, with one upriver. The famous Guadalupe River’s most popular tubing stretch begins at Canyon Lake and runs for 17 miles into the Gruene and New Braunfels area. Enjoy tubing, rafting, swimming, snorkeling, fishing and more. The river has its own park - the Guadalupe River Park, with a trail about 2 miles long along its banks, and is just below Canyon Dam. Free and open year round - and a great place to fish off the banks for the stocked Rainbow Trout, with downstream being popular to fly-fishermen. Activities in the area include boating fun, scuba diving, swimming, fishing, hiking, tubing, rafting, archery, touring the Canyon Lake Gorge, visiting the Heritage Museum, enjoying Canyon Lake Golf Club, a new Library, two marinas, two yacht clubs and a variety of restaurants and bars. Whitewater Amphitheater gives us great live music concerts all summer on the banks of the river. Gruene Hall, Texas’ Oldest Dancehall in historic Gruene, has live music and dancing all year.
